AN EXTRORDINARY COMMITMENT

Kenny Hein joined the Lehigh Valley Quarter Midget Racing Club in 1957, the Club's second year of existance. He was a very active and involved member and by 1964 was elected to his first Executive Board office. All four of his children raced with the Club. Three of them became Graduate Lifetime Drivers.

Kenny's commitment to the LVQMRC was not ordinary. For over 30 years he served in various capacities on the Executive Board. He saw the LVQMRC through it's good and bad times, and with a steady hand watched it grow to over 100 registered drivers. He also got to watch his grandchildren race and graduate from the Club.

Even when he was confined to a wheelchair he continued to be active in the Club, attending meetings, race events, and Club activities. In 1995 Kenny was appointed to the newly created position of Executive Director to help pass on his many years of experience. Kenny Hein was the Club's first Executive Director.
