Lehigh Valley Quarter Midget Racing Club General Information

Basic Information

The pricing for membership is: Active member car owner $40, Associate member $20, and Driver $10. All classes of members are allowed in the pits, and for insurance reasons only members are allowed in the pits during the running of the races. The following items are required from the members. Each Active member must attend 50% of the general monthly membership meetings. Our monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at Famularo's Catering, Mount Pocono, PA. There is a $30 ad required for each driver to be placed in the banquet book at the end of the racing season. Each Active member is responsible for working one shift at each NASCAR event at Pocono Raceway. This is our "rent" payment for the property space and the job is selling tickets. Each Active member is also responsible for participating in any Club fund raisers. In order to make each race event operate, Active members will be assigned duties that include track, concession stand, sign-in, scoring, flagging, etc. Fines will be assessed if a work duty is missed. Since these duties are pre-assigned, we will try to work around vacation schedules, but you can also switch nights with another member by both of you filling out a "work switch" form. Each member is also responsible for signing up for at least one committee. At the end of each year we hold a banquet at which time each driver is awarded a "package". The package is based on attendance at events and not wins. To receive a full "package" at the end of the racing season the driver must attend and participate in 70% of the track events.
